Ongoing public consultation (30 SEPT – 30 NOV 2025)

TEHDAS2 is creating guidelines and technical details to help use health data smoothly across Europe in the new European Health Data Space (EHDS). Each product is reviewed by the public for 30 days to make sure it meets the needs of everyone.

The European Union (EU) is promoting the use of health data for research, innovation, and policy making. Easy and secure access to data will help develop new treatments and medicines, and use resources better, all to improve the health of people in Europe.

TEHDAS2 is a big step towards this goal. The project will create guidelines and technical details to help use health data across borders. It will support data holders, users, and new Health Data Access Bodies (HDABs) in their roles under the EHDS regulation.

TEHDAS2 focuses on:

  • Finding data: Making sure health data can be found and used for other purposes.
  • Accessing data: Creating standard ways to access data across countries.
  • Secure processing: Setting up safe environments for handling sensitive health data.
  • Citizen rights: Ensuring citizens know how their data is used and are informed about important research findings.
  • Collaboration: Providing guidelines on working together, fees, penalties, and international data access.

TEHDAS2 will help implement the EHDS regulation smoothly with clear guidelines and technical details. This will improve coordination among EU countries and reduce differences in how health data is used.
